My work is like a weird dream; zany, uncomfortably vulnerable, and kind of embarrassing. As a dancer, I’ve always been innately in tune to my body which has majorly impacted my psyche. Viscerally vivid, my dreams are at the root of my ideas. I enjoy approaching mature themes in a juvenile way — to take the edge off. As a synesthete, I place equal importance upon the use of puns as I do color. Through the use of high drama, bold color palettes, & the grotesque, my madcap realities feel rich & tangible. I grew up surrounded by gross kitschy media, and I’m reviving it to immerse audiences into my handcrafted dreamscapes.
